I had an AWD one for about a year.
It was so awesome in the snow it wasn't funny. Very roomy, rear seats folded to the side for extra room to haul stuff. Really hard to work on. Mine got crap MPG, i blame the AWD but i averaged about 17mpg mixed driving. It was pretty great until the head gasket blew.
I looked at the early ones when they came out, if you had AC you could opt for the fridge between the seats. I believe they also had a 4WD version.

Why is the trunk lid off of the Honda in that video?

The front uprights? What makes them special?
I believe the uprights you want are front earlier Toyota van. Previas have front struts ...
I loved those first vans looks, so cool for their day. They didn't use the Previa name, did they? I can't remember if they actually had a name besides "Van"???

A former employer had one as the shop truck- much to the dismay of parts store employees, they did not. When it needed something, we got into the habit of bringing the FSM to the store with us to prove it to them..
I thought the earlier toyota vans were called "vanwagons" but changed to just Van when they realised it was too close to VW's offering
