I agree with you here. I'm going to start researching. I was considering running solid endlinks, but a few members here steered me away for a daily driver.

I just used RTV. The old gasket was pretty much nonexistant when I removed the cover.
As for the cheap euro car.... Mine was 100 bucks....I've only put like 3grand into it...and it only needs about 3 more to be good.
No solid endlinks? I'm gonna try it. It's also kinda annoying that the poly bushings are 2x as costly as the hiem endlinks.

I was just musing about machining my own. ST sway bar bushings for this car are ~$15 a pop. And that doesn't even begin to take care of the end links

Only option for poly that I've seen for mine are powerflex at 52 bucks.
Seems silly for me to do the endlinks without replacing the 15 year old bushings.
