    Watching this made me curious..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx1MfyLCeII&feature=related

    How well would pvc work as velocity stacks? Don't they give off gas or something when they are heated??

    The main thing I'd worry about is they'll be soft and droopy if they get too hot.

    Glass transition (softening) temperature of PVC is about 80 degrees celsius.

    Carve it out of foam and then cover it in Carbon fiber or fiberglass cloth and resin. Melt the foam out and you're done.
