NOW I understand why you need lockers.

I don't know what you consider amazing but I know what truck I'm buying to pull my trailer.

not knowing how to work the lockers in an H1....priceless

they're supposed to automatically engage when you lightly press the brake

I think it is a great explanation of what a limited slip differential is (or isn't in this case).

Super off-roader, and no limited slip?!

LOL I thought it was the fact that the whole mess was getting dragged across the parking lot.

It is pretty amazing that the Dodge can get enough traction, and then have enough power to pull all of that.

Well, to me the part that seems to go un-noticed by the crowd is the fact that the Dodge is actually pulling a Taurus (probably in "Park") with an H1 Hummer on top and also dragging the full-size Chevy anchor vehicle with either the brakes on or the transmisiion in "Drive" or both.

I was going to say either that, or the guy standing in front of the Hummer as it's about to be pulled forward hopefully gently with a chain that shouldn't snap. Darwin award waiting to happen.

I saw an H2 trying to pull an early 90s Hilux out of a mud pit a couple of months ago, up a mud hill at about 20 degrees...If it had gone any slower he would have been considered stuck himself.

I wonder what kind of tires he was using.

The front tires on the Taurus were turning, so either they busted the transmission, or it wasn't in Park?

Ohh for the lack of a wheel chock or two...

The problem with trying to do this is they are boned whoever pulls, simple physics tells us if you pull downward on an object above and behind you, you will actually be pulling placing a downward force on that object, thus increasing the static sliding force necessary to overcome motion in the horizontal plane. Realistically the Dodge needed to stand still and the chevy needed to pull, but oh wait, since it's got a Hummer on top of it it's got the same damn problem, except you won't actually be increasing the downward force as you pull, unlike when trying to pull the Hummer Sounds like a job for a wrecker that can put the straps on the Hummer and pull parallel to the ground...

Someone ought to explain to the H1 driver how a Torsen works, and how to "fool" it.

1, Hummer should have torsen diffs. Use two feet and get it unstuck. atleast the early H1's did. but that one sounds gas powered 5.7L chevy versions..

    1. Cummins power bitches.. bask in the glow... That truck didn't pull those vehicles.. It rotated the earth beneath them all.

They suck at that too. 4wd + weight + sand = stuck vehicle.

Much like Eddie Griffin in an Enzo, the most incompetent driver can make even the most competent vehicle look like crap.
