RACE DAY !!!!!

If this isn't one of the best days of the year for race fans, I don't know what is. Monaco GP, Indy 500 and Charlotte 600, and all on TV. Nothing will get done in the yard or garage today.

I typically only watch Monaco, but this year I think I will try to be a better american and also dvr the Indy 500. 

Oh yeah - a great day for petrol enthusiasm.

10 minutes until the cars roll at Monaco!

Luckily i’m not a race fan, i’ll be getting plenty done today.  I’m just a guy who enjoys the activity of racing(and honestly i love the building more than that).

My greatest would be F1, Motogp and le Mans.

ABC is rebroadcasting the Monaco race after Indy, for those of us who didn't turn the TV on in time.  

This is the last year for ABC broadcasting Indy, they've been doing it since 1965.  It goes to NBC next year, I wonder what kinds of things they're going to change to the broadcast.

Sure are a lot of front runners crashing out at Indy.  

gloves are coming off now. Things are getting a bit crazy. . 

The second groove is coming in. Some crazy stuff on restarts. 

Power ran a great race.   Great pit stops.   Got kind of interesting the last few laps.

I thought ethanol burned clear.    Sure saw some orange flames today.

It is ethanol, but some time ago they added something to it so you could see the flames.

Methanol burns clear. Ethanol has visible flames.

Good point Mark. I should also watch NASCAR if I wanted to be a better american. Thanks for pointing that out.

Duh....I should have remembered that. They switched from methanol to ethanol over a decade ago.

Or go buy an electric car and do some composing. Or teach a kid how to turn right. After all, americans suck at driving.  Not kidding about any of it.

Just tired. And sick of crap that somehow makes us more american. Heck, why isn't F1 more american than NASCRAP? Aren't we a melting pot? A snickers would be nice. Too bad it's sunami season. Gotta build an Ark!

Frozen bolts on my 900ss aren't helping either.

Oh. And I dare you to go to Europe and try and convince them that F1 is American.  Good luck with that one.
