Went up to Lake Winnebago Sunday with the Civic on studs. It was worth the drive from Chicago. I got there late and missed the majority of practice, but still got 3 practice laps in. They did 9 timed runs and the course was a whopping 1.5 miles long. They even used optical timers and LED display showing your times. We were even done by 2:30PM.

Look close and you'll see my GRM stickers.

That looks like a blast!!! I would love to try it. Too bad nothing freezes down here (SC). I even have a hard time getting ice from the freezer sometimes.

Thats not ice racing. It's an autocross on ice. For real racing, visit this site: www. icerace.com

IceRacer, not everybody is as ballsy as you and your "taking nice cars wheel to wheel in a low grip event" friends.

That looks incredibly fun. May not technically be "ice racing", but awesome nonetheless.

That's true but all the w2w events are even farther away for me. It's hard for me to justify building a dedicated w2w ice car for a 6 week long season with events 7+ hours away.

More power to you if you live closer. w2w on ice has to be one of the best things possible on 4 wheels.

    Watch out for the downhill.

Do those count as "Studdable winter tires"?
