Anyone have any tips on a good product? My car has some light oxidation on the front bumper that I'd like to restore the shine to. I don't have a machine buffer or porter cable, nor do I have any experience with these, so I'd like to do the job by hand. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Miquiers (sp?) Makes a several polishes that are well suited to hand application. They use a numbering system to make choosing the right product easy.

Of course, once you get the bumper done, you'll want to do the rest of the car.

& don't forget to wax it ti help the shine last.

    Good luck.

McGuiars is good, 3M is industry stuff. They have a nice light rubbing compound (Perfect-it II) that I have used since the 80's. Hand or machine, this works great, then follow with polisher and wax, or just wax, very forgiving.

And yes, you will want to do the rest of the car.

Yep, Meguiar's #9 and a good clay bar restored my nasty dull-looking truck to a slick shiny beast again.
