I would like to possibly rent a Miata for a day trip in the near future. Do any of the car companies rent them out anymore or am I stuck with a Mustang or Sebring drop top?

Hertz was renting them recently out of LAX, but...
Hertz is not good at allowing the reservation of a specific car. They will only reserve you a convertable and then when you arrive it is a crap shoot. Actually, Hertz at LAX in years past had Audi A4 convertables as well.
All of these rentals will have automatics. -

How about asking here if anyone would like to do a car swap for a day? Then you might get something a little more fun if there has been any mods done...
