    '87 BMW 325is
The oil service light has come on to yellow.
My Bentley Manual says this must be reset with a service tool. There must be a GRM approach.
Im sure the answer is out there somewhere on a e30 board but that requires some searching or asking a question only to be told to search. So, who cares to show me where the answer may be or share something you have already bookmarked.
    Thanks in advance.

Edit: DAMN, typo in the title. It should not say resting but rather resetting.

On the E36.. there are a pair of pins you can jump in the engine bay.. but I never bothered with it

I had one when I had the M5 but it went with the car.

They can be had for $15 - $55.

Not sure why that link doesn't work, but I used to just ground pin 7 to the chassis for about 10 seconds on my '92 E36. My '97 came with a Peake tool from the PO so I haven't done it in a while. Google "RonStyger" for a homemade tool and other useful tips.

That's the way I do it. You can use a bent paper clip.

Paper clip between pin 7 and 19 has worked well for me

Done: 7 & 19 worked. Thanks for the help.
Taking advantage of some unseasonal break in the weather for some winter prep. Now to take off the summer rims/tires...

Pull cluster. Removed little LED panel from cluster. Replace cluster. Problem solved for all eternity.
