I'm doing some interior work on my "man-van" and wanted to know if anyone here has used Rit dye on seat belts before. I've found varying degrees of success online. The tan ones don't match my skulls theme very well.

Wouldn't upholstery(sp?) "paint" work better? If for no other reason than it comes in spray cans?

I'm sure RIT dye would work but make sure you follow the directions and rinse them well because you may ruin many shirts under the belts when the dye bleeds over.

I've tried that dye on tan belts and not had much success. They went from tan to something not tan, but nowhere near black.

I know Honda and GM have an unlimited lifetime warranty on seat belts - just stop in at the dealer and they'll replace them free of charge.
