I love the Runoffs! Hope you're 'on the job' to get us good coverage.

I've always enjoyed the human interest stories behind scenes, such as, tragedies to overcome to get the racer to where he is today, or, a grassroots (read: super budget) approach and said racer is in victory lane. The tenacity and diligence of amatuer racers is always interesting.

how is the weather for the event???

Several teams had some real challenges to overcome with engine/trans/car replacements. One bad accident has Tracy, Jr in the hospital - but he is doing OK I hear.

T1 will be interesting this year.

I love the Runoffs. I always thought they were the absolute best racing bar none. Just hate the fact they moved away from Mid-Ohio...

Maybe one of these days I can make the trip to Kansas. How do the tracks and facilities compare?

They moved away from Heartland Park to Road America. Is Wisconsin closer than Kansas for you?

I wish speed would broadcast these races either live or at least within a week of them happening. They seem to hold on to them for months then trickle out a race or two here and there. Somehow they can show wrecked 12 hours a day, but can't show the runoffs in a timely manner.

    Thank goodness for Tivo.

I'd forgotten that. Shows you how much I've paid attention lately... It's a couple of hours closer, but still quite the trip. My company has an office in Milwaukee though and maybe next year I can go there and work a bit. Hmmm....

Back in the 70s, when they were held at Road Atlanta, I went every year. They are considered the largest single race event held anywhere. It was exhausting, and awesome!

Yesterday was excellent. Today's forecast calls for rain. The ground is currently wet, but nothing is falling.

The rain stayed away, and we saw some great racing. Tomorrow's racing action starts at 8:30. If you at the track, stop by and say hi.

Me and my dad went every year when they were in Road Atlanta. When they moved, we stopped going. Got lots of good memories from those all-nighters dear old dad pulled to get there from Massachusetts and get home again. He wouldn't let me drive till I at least had my learners permit for some reason.

+1 on the speedcasttv coverage. There have been some glitches but all in all good coverage.

I would like to know the real story about what went on in A Sedan. 30 hours in the tech shed and the top 5 DSQ .

Sounds like Smokey Yunick's ghost showed up.
