    Loctite Freeze and Release

I look forward to the first unbiased review on this board.

I haven't looked at the product yet, but judging by your title, this sounds like something you'd want to talk to your doctor about first.

Shrinking your nuts for a tighter fit isn't usually the way to get unscrewed.

But if a cold touch to your nuts really gets them off, save yourself some money and get a CO2 fire extinguisher.

If this really worked, we'd have been doing it in the Navy. Heck since we recharged our own fire extingishers, we used them for everything, and this wasn't an application we used them for.

Did anyone else think this was about the RustyNutz character from the old AutoX days?

I'm a PB Blaster man. I also use a 3lb drilling hammer with a cut-down handle. If a combination of those two doesn't get it done, then something is going to break.

    Epic post!!!

Also I've tried cooling nuts with CO2 spray...it's never helped.

Actually C02 spray and a hammer is a great way to remove a nut. Just not of much use after.

This post is just too easy!!!

Not tried the fun of CO2... yet... But so far KROIL has done the job for me everytime.

The best thing is to avoid the rusty nuts entirely with a preventative measure such as dryer balls:

The Loctite stuff looks just like the CRC stuff.

I tried the CRC stuff and was not impressed at all.

Heat wrench followed by Kroil followed by more heat wrench followed by huge hammer and specially made punches followed by kroil followed by heat wrench...

Hardcore Kroil believer / user here (Michigan = Rust). One of the keys to Kroil effectiveness is allowing it to soak in. Spray it down a day or so ahead of time with repeated applications. I've had more luck with Kroil than PB blaster (although PB works in a pinch).

If your short on time, Mr motomorons post above will work without fail (heat & quench).

I am cheap (Grassroots?) and find that diesel fuel works as good as anything else on the market. Sure does stink though!

Well, it'll work. It'll work best in conjunction with a heat/freeze cycle, though. But really, all you need is a torch. Heat does amazing things to metal that's rusted together...

And if it doesn't loosen up, you can just go higher and melt the sucker off. That's my favorite.
