The Sandblast Rally is just about a month away. We just heard from Anders at NASA Rally Sport this morning and they're on the hunt for volunteers. Here's the message we got from Anders-

Way back in 2008, when I was just a wee little GRM staff FNG, I got to tag along with Per on his maiden voyage with the Saab 99 Project Car. It was a great event, and I really liked the fact that there were Dakar-style bikes in the competition as well.

Volunteering is definitely the best way to see the action.

That was one of the best weekends I've ever had. Would love to do it again.

I'm trying to convince Anders that having TSD events on the same roads either before or after the performance rally would be a blast....and a way to create a Targa-style event here in the states. Targa SC, Targa TN, etc.

I agree, having a TSD there WOULD be fun! Where can I sign up?

I actually got email this morning from the wife of one of the bike racers who is CURRENTLY running in Dakar saying that they wanted to come back to Sandblast this year. :)
