    Sadly I don't have the budget to buy a vortec motor and intake. I need to make the best of what I have.
    I'll probably scrounge CL for a running pickup C/K 30 with a bad trans and swap my trans and rear end into it.
    I want to keep my DRW, the rest is negotiable :P

    im just gonna say i have seen in the past ls1's with edelbrock 4 barrel intakes being sold for 4 or 500 hundreg before

    A long block (vortec or otherwise) is less than $150 at the junkyard here, are they that much more there?

    ok admittedly thats here in oklahoma. but put one in a guys camaro about 6 months ago. found it on cl went picked up did compression test before bringing it home tested out perfect. still running perfect as far as i know aside from only running a 650 on it and running out of steam at 5k

    Actuallyplans are for it to either be a drive on car transport or just a flatbed with a "sleeper" cab.
