Picked up a new 2011 Outback for the wife this weekend. Unfortunately the interior is toupe cloth, but the price was right so we bought it anyway. Any experience with protecting cloth? Should I Scotch Guard it? 303 it? Other? Not bother? We plan to keep it ten years and we have an 11 month old so it's going to get dirty.

We replaced a '95 Legacy that had cloth seats. They were pretty much the color of dirt at this point. I think they had started as grey so not much of a difference there.

Looks to me like a 40.00 investment is a really good idea.

scotch gaurd is supposed to not allow wet/liquid spills absorb into the fiber (therefore easier to get a rag to clean it up if you get to it quickly)... not a bad thing

there are other brands/options but if/whatever you use make sure to apply according to instructions...
