Mounting parking lot build tires.  245/40/17 hoosier a7 2 year old takeoffs.  The inside seated at 40psi.  The outside is seating 3/4 of the way around but i can't get it to pop.  I ran it up to 60psi and wailed on it with a dead blow hammer.  It's just hanging out down here holding air.  Havent encountered this yet.  Plenty of lube.

Valve core removed, long air hose, angle your body away, cover your nuts, and use your safety squints. Don't let off until it pops.

Only semi joking, you do need more pressure. Be careful.

I wouldn't be concerned until 90psi doesn't seat it. Keep your face an as many body parts as possible away from the area that is last to seat and just keep pumping.

In reply to dps214 :

It's currently sitting there at 90 and it's hard to tell if it is moving

Meh, i got it.  I pushed the tire down and got the part that wasn't seating up onto the bead so it was opposite the side that did seat, then cranked it back to 90 and it popped.
