My lady's 2004 Liberty is getting toward 80k miles and during cold, damp weather the suspension groans a bit going over speed bumps and such. What's a good choice for something we won't be keeping more than another 2 years, but that is going to be driven a lot during that time? Replacements don't have to be sporty, but I'd enjoy something a bit better than OEM on the rare occasions I drive it. The KYB GR-2s seem reasonably priced.

Also, are there any other suspension items I should be looking at replacing as a course of maintenance while I'm in there?

Bilstein HDs are only $320 from shox.com. I'd pick those over KYBs anytime.

KYBs are just meant to be a replacement for blown shocks that feels like an improvement. Bilstien HDs are a better quality replacement for stock stuff. Id go with Bilstiens, even for 2 years its worth it.
