I do have an LT1 needing rebuilding and looking for a home.
    Safari

Still intact, seats 7. 4 bucket seats / captain's chairs, rear foldable bed / bench seat. RWD, White exterior/ Blue interior. Just stopped running one day last year. I have another car, so never fixed this one. Little to no rust, FL vehicle, running boards, top end of motor rebuilt within 10K miles, I think it needs a piston bearing, but I am no mechanic. Automatic 4 speed transmission works well, new U-Haul installed towing hitch / wiring kit. Over 150K miles, I think. Everything else was running OK when last driven. No battery, needs new tires As-is, must be towed.

I find them to be something of a pain in the tush to work on, since the engine is kind of half under the hood and half in the front seat.

Thinking possible tow rig for the gti. Plus I have 3 dogs and the Jetta wagon is kinda cramped.

Just put a new piston bearing in and it's ready to go!

Picture sure doesn't look like Florida! I guess I will have to head down their to ski. Looks like we are going to have a green Christmas.

Looks like it may need a water pump return spring also. That's a deal breaker for me.

Would you just look at it? Just look at it? I would tell him to just look at that. Did you look at it? I'm looking at it.

The Keneutson valve and muffler bearings are probably shot, too. And don't get me started about how sludged-up the blinker fluid probably is. And if the piston-bearing is shot, you KNOW the stratophraptor needs a complete overhaul.

I'm waiting to here back from the owner. Perhaps he can shed more light on it. Should I ask about the differentialator? Oh wait, these don't need one!

FWIW I had a friend tow a heavy uhaul tralier loaded with a FC covert with an LT1 Astro, seemed to do just fine. I think it could use some sort of a helper spring or air shock to help level the rear end when towing, or it could have been that the time I remember seeing it loaded up it had a Ford 302 stuffed in the back of the van at the same time.

Nah,, you need to look at my 242 GLT. Not far from ya, in Detroit.

Original Canadian car with B23E and 5spd manual. Yellow and black with sunroof. 90K miles and solid through and through (no bondo here).
