A customer just pulled a higher end rebuildable coil over kit from his MK4 GTi and replaced them with a Koni set. One of the struts was leaking a small amount of oil but was functioning. He is asking $250.00 for the set as it sits. I am considering offering $200.00 and installing them on The Bug of Love.

    Opinions?

What are they, and how much to rebuild?

They are FK Highsports imported from Germany and there is a US imported that can rebuild if necessary, mind you the car is still damping in anreasonable manner.

Why does "Shat" not filter to "E36 M3ed?"

I think it would filter to E30 M3.
You know, the past tense of E36

DOH! You guys crack me up.

If you can get them rebuilt cheap, I'd do it for $200. But then, I'd do a lot of things for $200 that other people wouldn't even begin to consider...

We understand, we've all had to do things we're not proud of to pay the rent now and then.

Yes for $200. I'd try to flip them untouched for $500 on the Vortex (unless that guy is on it).

A little rattle can flat black goes a long way towards making something look a bit different than someone may remember

just kidding...except Im a little not kidding

I would say that if 200+rebuild is 70% or less of the cost of new...which Im assuming it is ... its worth it
