It's still sitting beside the garage. I'm not going to get rid of the majority of it until I know for sure I have what I need out of it. For example, the differential is still in it.
Knowing then what I know now, I could have saved a lot of interior disassembly. Turns out I didn't need any of the wiring from inside the car. Oh well...

Do the correct F-body thing.
Turn it into a doghouse for your many pitbulls.

If I was in Colorado I would gladly take it off your hands but Alabama is a long way from there. I really don't think F-body is that bad looking.

thinking about this a bit more...
these 4th gens really are unloved now. Reminds me of where the E-body Mopars were about 1979 or '80. Not saying this will ever be a Hemi Cuda..the production numbers are just too high. A good many E-bodies got junked out in the late '70s early '80s. That's why they are so rare today. My neighbor had a 383 Challenger that he used to skid small logs out of the woods back in about '81. Didn't have a straight piece of bodywork left on it.
Ok...maybe that doesn't flow so well but it's my rant for the day.
Cheers

I believe f-bodies should be drawn and quartered by 4 LS1 Miatas.

Bump. So what happened to it?

Same as my last post - sitting beside the garage, waiting for me to be sure I don't need anything out of it. I think the diff is coming out this weekend though, it's time to get that swapped over.
There's a shop in town that has a stack of 3rd generation F-bodies sitting out front, including at least one that appears to be engineless. I might wander in there and see if he wants it when I'm done. But if someone puts in a request for some part like the T-tops, SS spoiler or the big high-rise hood, I'll probably sell 'em and the car will start coming apart.
Maybe the upcoming Top Gear sendoff for the Lacetti will provide inspiration.

A quick Googling should turn up a few F-Body and GM places that might want it, or the Camaro boards. All I know is that if it were anywhere near NC, people would jump on that.

Advertising it on NASA RM is a good suggestion, thanks. I suspect the population density around here is quite a bit lower than NC - we're 4-5 hours (and several 10,000' passes) from any sort of city other than Grand Junction. The shop that I spotted with the F-bodies outside is a filthy little one-bay service center that has about four cars out front, not some sort of heroic monster car production facility.

Finally, the exciting conclusion!
After the MG went for its inaugural drive, I declared the Camaro surplus to requirements. I advertised it on LS1Tech for a few days and got a bit of interest. Then I put it up on Craigslist for $500 at 11 pm. It was sold 10 hours later - to that shop I mentioned in the previous post. They saw it, got all excited and came running over with a trailer and cash. Okay, so maybe I priced it a bit under the market. But I wanted it gone, and it is indeed gone.
I think it's going to end up a drag car. Cabureted big block, 12-bolt rear and no instruments but a big shift light? Sounds good to me.
My apologies to those of you who were waiting for fire.

Keith, I'm one of the guys that said don't kill it, remember? No apology required. There's plenty of Buicks out there that will satisfy my destructive urges. Damn, I wish corner workers still had to attend "crash & burn" (rescue & fire response) schools.

There are still plenty of much worst cars in the world we can destroy. The Cobalt sitting outside my apartment right now comes to mind.

Is it wrong to use the money you got from selling a car to buy a radiator? Seems like a pretty uneven trade

Which one is more useful to you at this point?

the value of an item is never the price someone else thinks it should be, but it is what you are willing to pay for it.
that being said, you are trading an old camaro body you have been eagerly waiting months to get rid of for a radiator that you want.
sounds like a good swap to me!
