If it feels anything like the is250 I'm going to have to yawn.
My is250 is an appliance not a car. It has no soul or character. About the only thing it does well is U Turns. It doesn't do anything bad, but it's not a car as I think of a car. It reminds me of the Cadillacs of yesteryears.

Crazy huh? A car pretty much exactly like an Accord (or Appliance) could be such a thing! Only difference is it powers the rear wheels and cost more because it's got an L in a circle instead of a T. Although it's direct competition is the TSX not the Accord but still TSX = Euro Accord.

Hmm, a less-practical, more expensive Prius? Blah. Who is the intended buyer? And why would they buy this over the Prius (or the Lexus equivalent)?
I like my RX330. Like carguy's IS250, it gets me from A to B with no fuss. Quiet and comfy. Not much character, but my wife preferred it to the X3, and it's her car.

I've already seen the commercial for this car, they are (overly?) emphasising it's many safety/driver convenience features...actually minimizing that it's an economy car or a hybrid. My experience with Lexus buyers/owners is that they will buy ANYTHING with the "magical" L in the grille.

Dont, shoot me, but i kinda liked it. I drive an 03 Matrix, so this is kind of like an upgrade to me...BUT I'm not crazy about the rear windshield area of this car, its like they couldn't decide whether to copy a Scion box or a Lexus RX
As for the driving experience, fuel economy and price... I'm waiting to be impressed...

Its kinda cool looking but will probably be boring to drive - just like everything else from Honduh or Toyoda.
Thankfully we have Mazda to give us some good, reliable, fun to drive, Jap cars. :)

No, not really. Lexus is the anti-BMW. Mobile sofa barges. Not that that's a bad thing - my wife loves her RX330 (non-hybrid) - it's just kinda numb. A big, expensive, comfortable appliance. I like how comfortable it is, it scoots along ok (but far from fast), but gets crappy gas mileage (for a 3.3L V6).
The RX400h makes more total power than the RX330 or RX350. It's an odd system. Two electric motors - one mounted with the gas engine and driving the front wheels - and a second driving the rear wheels on it's own (only under full throttle, or if the front wheels slip). I think it's marginally faster than the RX350, but the driving dynamics are mostly the same (ie, numb and isolated).

My wife's employer provides company cars to the executive team (VP, pres, officers). A year or two ago, the number of Lexus surpassed the number of BMWs. The guy that manages the leases prefers the Lexus - more reliable, easier to schedule service, and the dealer is WAY easier to deal with.
We bought our CPO RX330 from the commercial sales dude at the dealer. One of the most pain-free buying experiences. Had the car in for a quick service last week (new key cut/programmed) and it was also painless. If the service continues at this level, I will def. buy another Lexus. So far, the total ownership experience is leaps and bounds better than the Volvo it replaced.

I didn't notice anyone saying ANY Lexus was a great car to drive. So why not just save money and get a Toyota? Oh, that's right, Toyota dealers have that wonder customer "attitude".

I have posted this before but just as a side note......my friend that works at a Lexus/Toyota dealership told me they charge $49.95 for an oil change on a Toyota and $99.95 for an oil change on a Lexus. Even when sometimes they have the exact same engine!!
