I'm thinking of buying a set of used (cheap) steel wheels and putting some honest-a-God snow tires on them for my '96 Sidekick Sport. I'd use them just in the winter, of course.

Supposedly a 1/2 ton Dodge P/U uses the same bolt pattern but I'm concerned the center hub hole won't be the same. The offset is different by a very small amount (1/4" IIRC). Is there anyone who can confirm what size hub hole is on the Dodge wheels? Or am I going to have to just buy a set and find out?

They're 5 X 5.5 - Sidekicks, Vitaras and GM trackers all share the same wheel. IIRC Jeep wheels will also work. http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Suzuki___Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern_Reference.cfm

I can not confirm or deny the size of a Suzuki rim but I recommend www.car-parts.com as a search to find Suzuki/Tracker rims at junkyards in your area.

That's the same bolt pattern as almost every 4WD truck/Jeep prior to the mid 80's and almost all Ford full-sized trucks. Also, Dodge 2WD trucks went to that bolt pattern after '87.

Were it me I would be looking for the Samurai 15x6" rims and something in a nice 205/70 or so. Snow tires like skinny, and won't get much thinner than Sammy rims.

when my wife bought her Vitara, we both agreed it was "too white":

so we went to this: Not everyone's taste, but we're having fun with it.

    I meant the wheels.
