    So I'm moving to Korea.

I'm selling the RX7 :( it's going to cost me too much to ship it.

The only RWD alternative is a Genesis Coupe...

Anything I should know about these cars?

That a GT-86 looks like a better deal, for one

I have worked for the monster Korean Company SK for a while. My Korean's coworkers tell me all the time how much cheaper Korean cars are in the US as compared to buying them in Korea. They say the same Genesis is priced $10,000 to $15,000 more in Korea.

I'm hoping the Free Trade Agreement will change all that!

Good grief. Only site in the world where a guy moving to Korea would ask, "Teach me Hyundai Genesis" before he said, "Teach me Korean"!

I'm surprised to see how very few of the Sonatas on the road are 2.0T's. I'm beginning to think my wife got the last one. As near as I can tell it's 274 bargain-priced horses.

There are guys here that can answer better as they are currently in Korea. It's been a while since I was there and I do have a few years there. I know a Genesis sounds good but it all depends on why you are there. Military - then you'll only be there for a limited time and if you aren't allowed to bring a vehicle there then most likely you wouldn't be able to drive one over there anyway. something about rank and/or command sponsorship. Civilian company - admittedly I don't know the rules there. But I do know that if you are thinking about buying one there cheap, driving it while you're there and bring it home then you're SOL. Their vehicle sold there don't meet US specs. Best bet is go there, find a cheap used car, drive it while you are there and sell it when you leave.

    Oh, chok-um hangul-mal ada-sim-ni-da. Hangul tong-shun ee-say-oh. (I speak a little Korean. I have a Korean wife.)
