trying to run my contracting business out of the back of the s-series blazer ever since the astro was retired was not cutting it, and the blazer also refused to run right, and made some strange noises sometimes.

so i traded it in. first vehicle i've ever bought for myself at a dealer. mostly because i needed to credit card a portion of it.

so i present, my new 4x4. a 1994 suburban with a 350, and about 900% more cargo space than the blazer. plus i'll be able to tow my enclosed trailer with something other than my fabulous 8mpg 454 dually. you know, in case the dually is down for repair like it was for 8 months last year because i didn't feel like putting a transmission in it while it was hot outside, then didn't feel like doing it when it was cold outside.

This pretty much describes me & all my project cars ever.

Looks decent. I'd rather work in "too hot" instead of "too cold".

The right tools makes the job much easier and that looks like the right tool.

first day at work, with the baby sized trailer. had to stop at tractor supply, whoever traded it in took the T connector out for the trailer lights. i went and loaded that trailer spilling over the top with trash - carpet, drywall, framing, etc.. and could not feel it behind the truck.

That's the beautiful thing about a REAL truck. I towed a Camaro on a U-Haul trailer from Miami to Tampa with a 1 ton chevy van and literally had to look in the mirrors to see if it was still there. Got the same mileage as empty, too. (12mpg)

I agree and also suspect we may see this in "Say What?"
