a few years back, one of the local deputy registrars got a pile of license plate with the letters "THC" on them.. they get and issue them in numerical order- i wonder if the "THC 420" plates got stolen?
the plates that were issued for my 71 Nova were "CVY 079", which led to about 5 people a month asking me if my car was a 79.
back in '08, i applied for collector plates for my 74 Monte Carlo and 84 Regal T Type on the same day.. the plates that showed up for the Regal were 311 910 and the plates for the Monte were 311 911.. the Monte plates showed up about 2 weeks before the Regal plates, yet they were in numerical order.. one of my uncles thought that i got custom plates for my Monte to commemorate 9/11...

As much as the vanity plates I can't understand intrigue me, sometimes the ones I do understand fascinate me more. Saturday I saw what must have been a husband and wife duet.
