I stopped by my local self serve yard the other day and while I didn't find the part I was looking for I found some cool stuff that I thought I'd post for everyone's enjoyment (or dismay). Please excuse the crappy cell phone pics.

A pretty rust free MGB with a hard top (Are those valuable on these?) and what looks like minilite rims. There were two other Bs there under a tarp. The bright red car in the background is an NB Miata with engine, (automatic) trans, and rear.

Don't know much about Audi but this looked cool. It had a non turbo inline five in it.

An NA Miata with what looks like a 60 degree GM V6 swapped in with a carb. This guy must not have heard about GM's other engines.

And for JG I found this. I think I remember reading in "Know your roots" that you ran one of these at the Solo Nationals back in the day. This one was pretty picked through but if you've got the desire you can probably make a deal on it.

Wow... that MGB doesn't look half bad in those pics... usually when they end up in the junk yard, the rockers have left the car there...

The Audi is a GT Coupe (at least that's what it was called in Europe). It's the base car for the Ur-quattro, most were N/A five-pot FWDs but you could get it with the AWD quattro drive train.

    Yes, it's cool.

Did the Audi GT have a flat top ribbed intake or a rounded one? Or did you notice if the instruments were analog or digital? Looking for a disc brake rear axle that only came on the 87.5 special builds.

No US spec Audi GT's came in guattro just the box flared Urq unlike the Euro versions.

MGB with a hardtop and Minilights! There's even a chance it has an overdrive in there, too. And most rubber bumper MG's got a Weber 32/36 at some point. Even as a rustbucket, that might be worth dragging out for parts.

Was the trans still in the SCX? I think thats a limited slip unit. The 60 degree V-6 in the Miata makes sense to me, but not w/ a carb.

With the Achieva SCX W41, you could only get the limited slip with the a/c delete. Man did I sweat a lot in that car.

The yard's on Delsea Drive in Clayton, NJ. It's called Delsea Motors. The guy that owns it is pretty cool. He's got a 1940's hook and ladder fire truck and some other old obscure stuff in there.

I know that place, and yes the owner is pretty cool, was chatting with him about Lemons and GRM the last time I was there and he talked my ear off for awhile about it.

Or you can just get a rear disc axle from an Audi 90 like I did. Bolts right in.

i'll have to check it out, I've been making the drive to ez pull, its what i would consider junk car mecca, as well as junk boat, motorcycle, and anything else that runs with gas or diesel. But I'll have to check that out in south jersey. Do you know the hours that the place is open?
