So heres the deal, my Father and I have run Auto Cross events and driven a few racing schools. We've always tossed around the idea of bulding a car and getting involved more deeply in racing in wheel to wheel or some more significant events. In the next few months I will be returning from my 2nd tour in Iraq and early next year I will be out of the army. We've deamed that the time to get scerious. The goal being a car we can ultimately end up Driving at Targa Newfoundland as well as on track back stateside. With that being said I'm looking to this vast pool of knowledge for any possible help or ideas that you can give us. thank you

Step 1: Pick a Venue done

Step 2: Pick a car. I suggest something popular enough that you can find parts in the junkyard, and has a large aftermarket. Around here, that answer is Miata, though there are definitely other acceptable answers.

suburu and if nothing else you should call the zine staff and order a back issue that has the guide to getting involved in many differnt motorsports and is a good primer for the many differnt styles of racing.
