No worries; it just resized it and uploaded it again. Our site is supposed to do that, but it's kinda like using BMW i-drive...just because it can be done doesn't mean it will.
thanx!
The IMCDB failed on the racecar, but they had the egg Stroker rode to get to grid.
OMG! Taladaga nights wa a totally rip off of Stroker Ace!!! OMG!!!!
In reply to modernbeat:
I found the same two pics shown on the IMCDB...just click the pic with the "1983 Thunderbird".
Thanks everyone!! I think that is the only 2 pics on the net of the car.
I mean, the movie is usually in the cheap dvd bin at Walmart for $5 although I think I bought my copy at a Big Lots store for $2.50 if you need more images.
In reply to HeavyDuty:
I just got home from searching the 5 dollar bin. I bought Smokey and the Bandit and a couple others. But struck out on Stroker Ace
Um, I am not sure where this fits, but I knew Dick Trickle. He raced at the rockford Speedway when I was a kid. My dad gave him a Cigerette in the pits once. My dad had a 1971 AAR Baracuda that ran in the "RoadRunner" class back in the day. Dick drove a stock car.

I wonder if that is Richard Petty in right corner of the pic in the cowboy hat??
can't tell you how many times I watched that movie...
BABE theme?
Very creative.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were The King in that picture. I know the movie had a bunch of the big names in NASCAR of the time and more than a few of the up and comers. Harry Gant, Dale Sr., Ricky Rudd, Terry Labonte, Cale Yarborough, Kyle Petty, et cetera.
Good book, actually based on NASCAR in the 70's & early 80's, it was written by two guys who worked with the teams.

We had that theme all mapped out for Chick Magnates Racing at LeMons. Including use of a down pillow in the paint.
