They are known for an input (or output ???) sensor on the transmission going bad and causing the no-start.

Drivers side, back of the trans near the motor from underneath. Have fun.

Did you check this? It's a neutral safety switch. Hugely common failure point on A/T equipped Jeeps.

Played with it a bit, but it seemed fine.

Tuna, how hot is it there? I'm fortunate that I don't have any pressing car issues in this 95+ degree heat.

HOT! Somewhere in the upper 90's. I was dripping, but eh, whatever.

I'll echo this. Extremely common failure point on these. Mine looked fine on the outside, but was all nasty inside. It is really easy to remove and open up, then some brake cleaner and new grease in there and it was fine for a while, then I just did it again next time it acted up. It will probably only take 15 mins to remove, clean, and re-install, and will at least rule it out, or solve the problem.

Herding electrons is almost as much fun as herding cats, only I understand cats better.

Yeh, cleaning the neutral switch on those things is time well spent. Quick and easy.

The next time it won't start, try going from Park to Neutral and see if it will start there.

I always forget that some people insist upon buying Jeeps with automatic transmissions.

The Nanny is easily 60 years old. I'll pass...

This is why we couldn't have a Nanny I wanted to hire Mrs October and my wife wanted to hire Mrs Doubtfire.

The difference between Mrs October and Miss October is one is Reggie Jackson's wife, and the other is in a bikini and is college aged.

Our nanny is a hot 18 year old cheerleader. I just wanted to tell everyone that.

    Pix?

It's like saying you picked up an LS7 powered E-type at a garage sale last weekend for Miata money.
