    Wow, how did he not see that! I could understand if he was just hauling too much ass to stop, but to get out of the car and say "I didn't even see it!". That's impressive.

    I'd bet that while that rock was making its way through the transmission pan it moved the shift linkage, or he had his hand on the shifter on impact.
