In today's Times.
Interesting.
this could be intersting, with the proposed changes for the American and Euro markets.
An engine swap candidate if I ever saw one. Fiat ties? I wonder if there is any commonality there. 1320#, it wouldn't take much.
I can't wait to see this thing on the TG test track with the Stig behind the wheel.
So who's the lucky stiff with the "Tata tester" business cards?
50mpg from a .6 liter engine in a 1300 lb car? That car needs a turbodiesel BAD!
oh the CAR, I get it now
Am I the only one pining for a Spec Tata class?
I like testing Tatas.
Tom Heath wrote:Am I the only one pining for a Spec Tata class?
That would be one sad class. The equipment bolted to the car would be more expensive than the car, you'd have to time the races with a Calender, and on a windy day you'd run the risk of getting blown over...
On the other hand, Tata + Bike motor =
I hope they bring it over for that specific purpose.

You didn't just say that some guy who tests tatas is stiff, did you?

Imagine getting M&M's to sponsor the whole thing and each one be painted like a different colored M&M. Complete with the logo on it.
The fans get to vote for which car will win and if their car wins (and they are randomly chosen from the winners) they get a big bag of M&M's in that color.

Can i get one in that awful pink the Ford Contours came in?
Who wants to drive the Green M&M?
Dr. Hess wrote:Who wants to drive the Green M&M?
All I know is that any GRM'er driven one would immediately label it a peanut M&M (i.e. it has a nut inside). ![]()

Spec M&M racing would be a great warm-up event for Spec-Jelly Bean racing.
I thought this thread would involve the ability to hold a pencil.
I would very much rather have a 4k tata that a 20k smart car.

As do I!
if you could get one in the states for around even 5k you could still afford to swap the motor out for something with balls......
anyone want to stuff the caddy 500 into it.....
You don't put balls into Tatas unless permission has be received.

Sounds like IROC v2.0. I like the thought of Dario, Smoke, Angelleli et al dueling it out in such a fashion. And Talladega would absolutely, positively have to be on the schedule, if only to see if the damn things fell over.
