Ebay works well for cheap, nationwide advertising, but I'd always prefer a local sale. I used eBay to generate some interest in the car (some far away, some local), and then sold the vehicle locally (avoiding all of the eBay/PayPal fees, etc.). I put in the listing that the car was available for sale locally and that the listing would be canceled if it sold locally.
I would really try Craigslist for a non-runner. Maybe you could link to your ad and we could offer suggestions?
Thanks for the advice everyone, both in regards to selling on eBay and with dealing with the landlord's son. eBay is a last resort for me, since I am worried about scams and such.
N/A FC: I will need the N/A FC for about a week in spring since my MS3 needs bodywork, but once that is done, I will try to sell it again. I did put ads CL, RX7Club, and GRM/Racing Junk in Nov. but I think my timing was bad, with winter approaching and all. Mazdax605, I will contact you via PM about your offer.
Turbo FC: It stays unless I am told otherwise verbally AND in written form by the landlord, NOT his son. The landlord and landlady are nice, reasonable people, and if he has a problem with me keeping the FC, I expect it will be for a legitimate reason- not on a whim like his son. We will be meeting with them later this week to discuss the house repairs and his son's behavior. The guy is 32 years old, he is acting like he is 12.
Cutlass: That car still belongs to my uncle who lives in CT. I will speak to him at some point about either towing the car back to CT or having him transfer ownership to my family so that we can sell it. He hasn't towed the car like he said he would every year since he stored it at our house 15 years ago, but we will need it gone this year because the garage will be used as a workshop to facilitate house repairs.
If I had to guess the son is wanting to make trouble because he wants you to get fed up and move out because he thinks he can rehab the place and make more money. Just a guess. Otherwise I cant possibly see why he would give you a hard time when there is probably no standing in the lease to enforce his demands especially when you have been such a good long term renter.

ebay has a classified section in addition to their auction section. everything used I have sold on ebay has sold for less than it's real value. Cars all sold for dam near trade in value. On craigslist I have typically gotten much closer to retail value.
I currently have a smashed altima that was a good runner and driver, after the accident before being disassembled, that when I first listed it I was getting offers on the car that were dam close to what we had paid for it. I have since swapped parts out and off of it. When it finally does get sold I expect to get $300 for it. Only paid $500 in the first place. Scrap metal value makes just about any car worth $300 these days.
