Not too many moons ago, we wanted to compete in stage rally. Our weapon of choice? A 1977 Saab 99.
Why an old-school, front-wheel-drive Saab and not a more conventional all-wheel-drive car like a Subaru Impreza? Simply put, we wanted to build “something a bit more funky—more vintage, too.” As well, the 99 was often the go-to choice for grassroots rally efforts like ourselves.
