    Hyundai Pony pickup

The Pony was sold new in Canada. Best selling car in the country in 1984. And there are almost none left at all.

This is amazingly similiar to the Opel Manta. GM did a some badge engineering between Opel and Isuzu. Still cool though.

Believe it or not, the 117 was actually designed by Italdesign/Giugiaro before GM bought a stake in Isuzu. It is also a substantially bigger car than a Manta.

Cool. Never seen the Isuzu before. Just stating that the lines are similiar to a Manta A. Not saying that's a bad thing. I have an Opel. And there are several cars that look like sold in America but the Euro/Asia version is usually better. Like the Sunbeam Talbot that someone else posted looks an awful lot like an old Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon. But again probably better drivetrain and maybe a bit larger.

Surprised only one person mentioned the Lancia. Thought it's rally credentials would have won it hearts here.

there is also this gem from Fiat. The Strade TC 130. Take a regular humble Strade with all of 80hp, hand it over to your abarth division for a twin cam and some suspension and body work.. and you get a hot hatch with 130hp to go GTi hunting..

I used to occasionally see one of those around London, Ontario when I lived there. I have never seen one here in Germany. Go figure.

Anyone else see the resemblance? I don't think I've even seen a Sud since the mid-80's, but this still jumped out at me.

If you were to actually bother importing an 80s Falcon from Australia...

Special edition Dick Johnson GrandPrix Turbo .

Also, somehow the Isuzu 117 pulls off 'swoopy Italian coupe' better than the Fiat Dino.
