The original Mk1.5 is currently, almost, for sale. Owned by Deno, was featured in SCC. If anyone's interested...

4X100 supra wheels? I like that very much
I noticed this as well. I'd say its more likely that the bolt pattern on the car was changed to 4x114.3. I guess that'd be the case if Corolla brakes or the like were used.

Do you AutoX with the Autocross Club of Central Oregon? If so, I have seen you compete and your car is a SCREAMER! Either way nice 1g mr2!

Are the ones with T-tops significantly weaker structurally? Would love to put my 2zz drivetrain into one...
-

They are a little more flexible and a little heavier, but nothing so significant that I would write them off. People still track them without problems or complaints, even with 3sgte swaps. Just plan on replacing the T-top seals if the PO hasn't already.

THIS thread needs to be posted in the MRS vs 350Z debate. The answer there is AW11.

I was here first before I put up the posting you refer to. Actually the answer would be AW11, but I really want a new, 'more reliable' car. I have 2 MA60 Supras already, enough of the brittle sun faded plastics and wonky A/C...

I would support that. You can find them for CHEAP if you look around, too.
Local buddy of mine just grabbed a 92 for $3000 in pretty nice shape.

I hate all of you AW11 owners
Hate youuuuuuu T_T
Too bad Toyota can't just put these back into production, and sell them to us with a waiver that says we know and accept the fact that if we crash this headlong into a semi at 60mph we will not survive and cannot hold Toyota liable. I'd line camp for a preorder ticket.

They're pretty strong in the front.
Put your 2ZZ in a MK3! Much better idea, plus it's bolt-in.
