    Thread Resurrection.

I am looking at an AW11 (1984, no rust, really) Locally, so I am doing a bit of research.

That's interesting. There was never an USDM 84 sold in the US. Is it a gray market car?

1984 MR2 109k, clean, rust free--stored winters since new. AC, all stock, no mods. Old school Revolution Wheels. Call Dan @ XXXXXXXXX. Springfield, IL. $1900.00--If interested, will e-mail pictures.

I will call and see what the title says.

Production started in 84, so they existed in Japan and other parts of the world. I imagine a lot of "85" USDM models were actually manufactured in 84, so it's bit of semantics as well. It's just not often you see one listed that way in the US.

I'll just say that if you don't know much about them, mr2oc.com is a great resource.

btw - pic isn't showing for some reason (for me)

Both of these belonged to a friends I was crew chief for him

    Primary car.

    Backup car.

I actually liked the green car as the suspension was a bit softer but the motor in the red car was much better.

Rumor has it that a few carbureted 1.5L 3A 1984 models made it into the states.

It would be a unicorn for rarity...but who wouldn't prefer the 4age?

I just printed, cut out and folded this together. I am sure my supervisor will be pleased.

Too bad Toyota can't just put these back into production, and sell them to us with a waiver that says we know and accept the fact that if we crash this headlong into a semi at 60mph we will not survive and cannot hold Toyota liable. I'd line camp for a preorder ticket.

Well don't worry, any toyota will do that any way. I've heard the throttle tends to stick lately :P

Might as well do it in a MR layout MR2....

Localy, there is an AW11 for something like $1500. Looks clean, probably garaged over winters. It has been sitting on the side of the road since spring.

I miss the 'Supercharged' light turning on, but not the rust. I actually know who owns my old one...
