After her Jetta was totaled, the wife was on the hunt for a new car. We finally got the settlement last week and she started looking. She wanted something small and efficient. I had to talk her out of buying a two seater as it seemed impractical with a little one even with the Volvo wagon as a family hauler.

It's an 85 GTI in pretty amazing shape. We paid $1250. It's not completely rust free but it's pretty close. We bought it from an older gentleman who had owned it since 98. It runs a little rough, it had been stored in a barn for about a year before we picked it up. Seller said bad gas and i'm inclined to believe him since it was already running way better when we picked it up than it was on the test drive. Only other problems are a bad speedo cable and a super stiff clutch.
