Indeed the cars are different, as the roadster, 510, Z and all others using the BRE scheme. However I don't think that any interpretation has had the stripes at such an angle as to have them terminate aft of the door. Understood about the 'reflecting' angle from A pillar, however just following rules may produce akward interpretations.
Cool pictures and 'fox' stripe history, how does the cobra stripes in another poster's avatar come into play with the history? I have, possibly mistakenly, thought that all stripes over the front fenders, and sometimes hood are called 'fox stripes', e.g. Corvette GS, Cobras, Triumphs, etc.
