Strange.
I can't wait for the conspiracy theories...
It was fracking. Down with big oil!

Cheyenne Mountain has that covered.
Interestingly the main museum is still opened so the structure is fine just with an indoor pool minus the water. So this should not affect the opening of the track.
I work for a company that has a manufacturing site about 30 miles west of Bowling Green. The whole area is limestone rock with a little dirt sprinkled over the top. Sinkholes are common.
What a shame; those were some nice cars. There has to be some concern about the structure of the building, doesn't there?
:( at the Blue Devil being one of them, that thing always sounded like an untamable monster that made a viper sound like a prius
In reply to jstein77:
Sounds like the dome is separate from the rest of the museum. The dome building is closed. Sad way to lose old classic cars.

It is. There's a hallway in and a hallway out.

they probably need a structural engineer to give the all clear before even going in the dome.
i'm sad, mostly about the zr1 spyder and the 1,000,000th car.

One of the news articles said that they moved the 1983 vette since it is the only one in existence. They're waiting on OK from the building inspectors before they move any others.
