Keep avoiding pistons and go with a turbine.

Sorta offtopic- Don't rotaries ALWAYS sound like 6 cylinders running on 4?

yes, rotaries often sound like a 6 cylinder running on 3, but they often rev like a 6 cylinder running on 11

If I ever get a 3 rotor for the RX8 , I would swap the renesis into an early RX7

This is tempting. I have been keeping my eye out for a wrecked RX-8 for some time now. I would love to do the full swap, suspension and all. Unfortunately they are still usually pricey. I guess I will have to keep my eyes peeled and see what I find.

Sorry for freaking everyone out. I hoped I would be safe posting it in the car section.

SBF - cheap and lots of torques

Why not do a 13BT swap from a FC? It should be easier than swapping in a V8 and has lots of easy power and torque. You can be in the mid-200 hp range with the stock ECU/engine/turbo, and close to 300hp with different fuel management.

Why do you say a 12A is a multi-thousand dollar option? I picked up a whole engine for $150, and I saw an in-pieces 12A with a brand new rebuild kit (and allegedly good-condition housings) for $1K.
