That's right, the GT Malan is from Pittsburgh, PA. I wonder if they offer a local's discount? Or better yet, do they need a test driver!

Dude, good luck. $117k is a little steep for a GTM, in my opinion.

GT Malan was shown on speed vs a Gumpert, apparently it was a bit of a travesty

here is a tread on FFCars talking about the show, the build and the rebuild: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=264120

Are those hot little numbers available for a test drive?

Looked through that thread... yikes. Looks like a showcar, where everything that's visible looks great, and everything else was thrown together in a big mess. Incredible the costs involved in that thing. Almost feel sorry for it.

There's a Rape Lite, and the Rape Extreme version. Take your pick.

    In reply to kb58:

Interestingly, it took Gumpert technicians all day of turning up the boost to beat it still...

They had these out at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix autocross last year. A friend of mine got to test drive one of them.

Saw one displayed at the Historic Races at Beaverun this summer, looked impressive as hell. Couldn't believe it competed in the Battle of the Supercars w/ an open diff, and then to read about the fuster cluck build/ rebuild from imirk's link. Geezus, they came this far, might as well keep throwing money at it till it's right.
