For a few years now Ive been tossing out the idea of running the "Trifecta of Crap" One car, 3 events. BABE, LeMons, and GRM in the same year. Ive even tried to get the organizers of BABE to work with Lemons to end the event at a LeMons track to do the 2 back to back. Well my efforts had no effect but the fates and stars aligned anyway and this years BABE rally will end at the start of LeMons New Orleans.

WIth the $500 budget limit on BABE this year this is a prime opportunity to have a huge "bang for the buck" opportunity and run in one of the craziest road rallies and follow it up with the craziest track race. Then take whats left of your car and enter it in GRM

I'm seriously considering caging the caddy to do this thing.

I will personally offer up a 10 year subscription deal to GRM to the first person to complete the Trifecta of Crap (tm?)

Same car, all 3 events in the same calender year. If you compete in them (DNF is ok but you have to try) then the first person to provide me proof that they did it I will buy the subscription for.

And for clarification, I focused on the LeMons New Orelans because it is a great opportunity since it is right at the end of BABE.

But the Trifecta award is open to any person/team who in one calender year enters the same car in 1)the BABE rally 2)any LeMons race 3)the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge

Vehicle must be present at the start of each event (no filling out an entry and not showing up)

If enough teams/people are interested I would actually like to expand this further to have the Trifecta winner determined by the cumulative scores from all 3 events for the winner for that year. But for now I will offer the subscription to the first person to complete the trifecta and provide me with the proof.

we are looking to do the BABE and LeMons New Orleans... I guess I will have to see what sort of shape I am in (job wise) next October to make the challenge.

Yeah, that's what bothers me. I really hate to see anything that could have some life left run at LeMons, because it's going to get destroyed. LeMons is a swan song that should be reserved for cars that need to go out with repeated bangs.

I know what you mean, I had really always envisioned running LeMons as the last part of the three myself but with NewOrleans event right at the end of the BABE rally I dont know if I can pass it up.

And if you're playing by the rules you will still have budget left to fix it up for GRM....although I wouldnt hold my breath on any concourse prizes ;)
