I saw a car recently that had a bumper sticker that read, "This car fell off Mt. Washington." If it did, the body shop did one helluva job...

I also heard a rumor at NEFR that Travis Pastrana might show up for the Mt. Washington Hill Climb to try to beat the all-time record. That would be cool to watch! His STI was very fast at NEFR and lead most of the way (until it broke down on the very last stage...).

I have been up it twice. In a 1988 Berretta and in our 2000 Cavalier on our honeymoon.

    NICE.

I remember the one 180* hairpin, my car needed 1st gear at 15 mph, pretty sure he took it at about 40 in 2nd haha.

There is another vid showing the 2nd run with a roof cam - it is even better! 10s penalty for a jumped start though.

My X-Type almost didn't make it...the lady at the gate didn't want to let me go because it was an autotragic transmission and you can't select 1st gear in it. Needless to say I was quite perturbed, but she did let me up. She made me keep it in sport mode in second gear, as if that was really going to help... I'm very much looking forward to going again, though.
