IF we get the 3-door, I'd consider it, depending on what price bracket it gets put in.

You know what? That's a lie. It's a cool car, but the most I'd ever do is recommend it to someone else. I'm not gonna buy a FWD. If Ford wants my money, I want an AWD version.

i like the ST treatment on a 3 door. but ive never understood why the US market has practically never seen the coolest versions of so many cars. like the iphone on verizon, i'll believe it when i see it for sale.

Wonder if Mazda will do something to counter this like a Mazdaspeed 2.

RECIPE FOR DIRT CHEAP Mazdaspeed2

Take 1x Mazda2, 1xMazda3.

Remove drivetrains from each.

Insert drivetrain of Mazda3 into Mazda2.

Add spring and damper rate to taste.

This. I drive my SVTF everyday thinking to my self "I wouldnt be thinking of what car to buy next if the back wheels were powered" (powered fronts optional, either is good for me )
