I'm sure he does. MPG, roof rack hauling, jumping abilities...the civic wagon has advantages over everything else.

Imagine what he could do with a higher performance AWD turbocharged machine, an old airfield, and an unlimited tire budget.

Yup. That would definitely be sweet.....The only other thing he could need would be a couple hundred tries and some good video editing software.

...and skittles (in a goldfish bowl), a fat guy hoovering down a pile of hamburgers, and lightbulbs. Lots of lightbulbs.

I'm sure they don't, ie, WRC drivers aren't concerned with someone who can't compete, but instead stays in a parking shooting slow-mo videos.

I am so sick of hearing about him. Walter Rohl or Ari Vatenen could do the same crap in one of the REAL rally cars and no one would know what thell was going on, who they are or what the car is.....

Well, he's going to run in the WRC next year. He'll probably get his butt handed to him, but after a few years people might look at him differently. And it'll certainly raise the profile of WRC in the US.

Are you implying that his Rally America cars aren't "real rally cars" or "real rallying racing?" Or are you saying that his stunt cars aren't? No harsh feelings, but I'd object very strongly to the idea that it isn't real racing unless it's multi-million dollar top-tier racing series.

I wouldn't make that implication, however...
I went to the Maine Forest Rally for a bunch of years. I think it was 2002 that Subaru brought over a couple of WRC cars that either ran in an exhibition class or the open class. David Lapworth even came along (As I recall, he was the only one in the forests of Maine who had a phone with service. First time I ever saw a satellite phone).
It was as if someone showed up at the local autocross with an F1 car. Pro Rally cars were amazing, but WRC cars were something different entirely.
