The other day I was at a local car show, and I saw a car that is getting pretty famous.

None other than 4th place overall, and 2nd place in class UTCC competitor, running a 2 minutes flat, Sharif and the Forged Performance GT-R.

It should not surprise me that it was at the show, mainly because I pass the shop twice a day on my way to and from work. I stopped to ogle for a minute and Sharif and I had a conversation about the Sebring round of Redline Time Attack. He was enthusiastic about the event, but disheartened by tire rules and politics. I recognized the car, because I had just finished reading the October issue of Modified Magazine (gasp) the night before, and it was the cover car.

As an aside, I brought my Basset, Alois, to the show. I swear he got more attention than most of the cars. I consider it his monthly ego boost. Sharif noticed Al's turned out feet and joked that he had "a lot of camber set up in the front". I told him that I had a bit of toe out, and 3 degrees of negative to help him with turn-in. We both had a good LOL.

Forged also had this little beauty at the show. I had to clean my pants after it had left.

To top it all off, I saw this brand new Boxster Spyder at lunch on Friday. I was dropping off a customer's parts at his glass shop, and it was in the parking lot.

That was awful nice of Nissan to rice the 370 from the factory. Saves the douchebags TONS of money.

The 'Forged' GTR looks pretty damn cool on those wheels - sort of 'old school meets new'.

I got to see a few of them run at a local Targa rally a couple of weeks back. They were very quick, but couldn't quite pip the fastest 911's. Still, it was neat to see them out on course being thrashed.

Yeah, I guess they just recently got "sponsorship" from HRE. Sharif is partial to gold wheels, so those are what they went with. I do like them, as well.

While I have no proof, I was a 599 Ferrari in my little town, Black with red interior. Almost broke my neck on that one.

I saw a Ferrari F430 and a Lamborghini Murcielago on the highway within 20 minutes of each other.

Just yesterday I saw another Murcielago on High St near the OSU campus. It was bright green with stickers and numberplates and such. Looked like it was from one of those Bullrun things.

I saw another one a couple weeks ago....in my crappy neighborhood I'm not used to seeing decent, newer or even interesting cars, yet I pull to a stop sign only to see a guy with a Porsche Spyder 550 replica. I wanted to follow him and confess my love but I was afraid of getting shot.
