The ecsta ast's on my all trac have worn down pretty well after three years and thirty thousand miles (bad strut mounts also screwed with my alignment/wear).

I'm looking for a cheaper, but still sporty set of 205/50/r15

Cheap as in sub $80 per tire.

Any first hand experience with these?

I've had DZ101s on my car for about 6k miles now I think. I like them. For the price and treadwear I don't think you'll regret it. They're not ZIIs or anything but they have been sure footed at half a dozen autocrosses and the canyons near Malibu. It takes a good bit to get them to sqeal and the grip at the limit is nice and linear.

If you live in a southern state and don't drive much in weather below 40F, get the summer tires.
