What are some good, non-r compound tires for autocross/trackdays. I need to stick with a street tire, preferably 205/50/15. I would prefer Kuhmo or Hankook because they are significantly cheaper where I live than other brands.

In reply to WilberM3: According to the article that seems like a really good tire.
I know that with crappy tires, you usually want to run high pressures to keep them from falling over and squishing and that with really high performance stuff, like Hoosiers, you usually run in the mid 20 psi areas.
Where would be a good baseline pressure for a max performance street tire?

the DOT hoosiers ive run usually end up around mid 30s to 40psi hot depending on car/setup/conditions.
i'd probably start around 32-35 cold and see how it feels. its easier to start a bit high and drop psi as you go than add it.
i'm interested to see where others start theirs.
