That is the question.

I have an 87 4Runner that I'm send on its way. It is in remarkable shape for 449,775 mi. The few years in Illinois have taken hold of the quarter panels. Rot.

A solution is Bushwacker pocket flares. You have to cut the fenders to fit them, it spot that's rusty, anyway. They are on E-Bay for about $310.00 delivered.  I want about $1,500 out of the truck.

So, do I flare and raise the price accordingly? Or slap the "For Sale" sign on and let it roll?

For $1500, slap the for sale sign on and let the next owner cut and flare the fenders.

I'd only invest the money and time to add the flares if it will take it from a $1.5k truck to a $2k+ truck. Preferably more like $2.5k.

If figure if it doesn't sell for what I want in a couple of weeks, then smash the Bushwackers on it and ask $2,000 instead. You are confirming my initial thoughts.

Thanks.

Pics please, I had an 89 SR5 V6, I loved that truck.  I installed the non cut out bushwacker flares after removing the stainless trim and finding some scale.

I recently found pics of my 4Runner, with the flares, chevy truck wheels and dress up rings it looked cool.
