OK, somebody explain that one for me. The audio was pure trash. What IS that car? Gets some serious revs, for sure.

I don't think ANY camera could get good audio of an in-car video in that thing.

    It's an Audi 80.

    Here's some outside video.

E30 with some sort of BMW big 6 swap and a turbo. In car starts at about 1:10. I would poop myself.

It's the Audi 5cylinder 20v turbo motor... apparently it make stupid power, who knew?

Search youtubes for "Audi RS2" for more insane content.

You want some of this goodness for yourself, but stuck in the US? Look for an early S4. Or... May i suggest an Audi 90 Quattro 20V and add turbo?

There is huge amounts of info on this motor everywhere. It's a special beast. The Swedes in particular seem to like using this motor to get station wagons to run 9 second quarter miles.

    That's not The General.

Very cool, and lots of awesome, but not The General. Not enough pistons or cubes and I didn't see it fly through the air once.

    Love that sound.

If its the audi im thinking of, the reason the audio is so wierd is because the downpipe exits on the passenger side front fender. It just shoots straight out from a hole in the fender.

I think Eurotuner did an article on the car. Again, IF its the car im thinking of... its got a very large diesel Caterpillar turbo, and has been through a bunch of transmissions.

Yeah, that's probably a factor. Apples and oranges to a point, but my car has the same exhaust setup, and it's not really that bad inside. But his apparently along the way has picked up a 90 degree bend at the end of the pipe as a "turndown" of sorts. I imagine that could be the difference.

You can see the exhaust here:

Oh yeah, your right. I believe I do remember it having a little turndown.

There's far more powerful cars with this same motor out there... We're talking about 1000awhp.

But yes. It's awesome, and sounds ridiculous.
